BurJuman Arjaan by Rotana: Our City Escape

Ferald and I needed a break and some time alone together but most of the time life gets in the way whenever we start to plan. Going beyond city limits is not an option if the kids aren't coming. Then came the opportunity to spend a night at BurJuman Arjaan - one of Rotana's many beautiful and luxurious managed properties in Dubai. It was for a Thursday check-in and Friday check-out which suits our schedule really well. I couldn't be any happier to accept the invitation. It was also a week before Valentine's day.

A luxury boutique hotel apartment - BurJuman Arjaan by Rotana is at the heart of the city and part of a multi-functional complex that includes upscale office tower, exquisite boutiques and an endless choice of restaurants and cafés within the BurJuman Centre and is located conveniently in front of the BurJuman Metro Station.

It was our home for just one night but our experience is nothing short of amusing and fun.

Check-in is normally at 2 pm but you know we have parent duties to attend to first before we can be free so we could only get there by 9 o'clock.

Nonetheless, the night view from the balcony of our sea view room on the twelve floor was mesmerizing.

and so is the day view

Check-in was a breeze, Fe who was manning the check-in counter that night quickly finished all formalities and before we know it we are already entering our room.

The generous people of BurJuman Arjaan by Rotana gave us an upgrade from a deluxe room to Deluxe Suite King without us even asking for it. It was actually too spacious for me and Ferald we can play hide and seek. :D Oh no we didn't, we actually went out for dinner and when we came back we watch a movie before going to lalaland.

BurJuman Arjaan by Rotana offers the distinctive traveller 80 Classic one bedroom suites, 48 Deluxe one bedroom suites, 16 Premium one bedroom suites, 3 three bedroom Townhouses and 1 four bedroom Penthouse.
Also available are escape packages which includes a Romantic Escape, Dhow Cruise Package and a Business Escape.

The Room -1201

We walked into a long hallway before reaching an open plan kitchen with full refrigerator, hot plate, microwave, washer and dryer, and dishwasher. It also has a complimentary coffee and tea making tray by the kitchen counter.

We just put down our small bag of clothes and personal things and went out to the balcony to admire the overlooking city light and take selfies.

The living room is furnished with plush sofas and a 32' flat screen TV with many channels to chose from. The only thing is there's no in room Wifi so I had to rely on my data to update my social media accounts. We were told that wifi is only available at the all-day-dining restaurant - The Gallery.

The bedroom just like the living room is spacious and I love our uber soft king-size bed.

The vanity is equipped with a hair dryer, huge mirror and a second flat screen TV is nicely positioned on the big vanity table for TV viewing in bed.

That night, we comfortably watched Salt starring Angelina Jolie in our bed.

The bathroom has a unique marble mosaic finishing and complete with toiletries. We're missing the bathrobes and an extra slipper but guests can always request from the reception. We loved the shower head, it is big enough for two people to take a shower together, there was hot and cold water and an extra hand shower too.

The Gallery

Breakfast was at The Gallery which is BurJuman Arjaan by Rotana's all-day-dining restaurant that serves International cuisine from Asia, Europe and the Middle East. The restaurant offers guests an intimate dining experience in a casual elegant setting daily for breakfast, lunch buffets or à la carte menu.

We started the day with a full English breakfast, some toast with butter and jam, a cup of coffee and a glass of orange juice.

What caught my attention was the cooking machines available at every station, it was a quirky but fun idea. There was a hot plate where you can make fresh pizza and zaatar flat breads.

Make fresh pancakes using the pancake maker and toast some bread on the toaster (not in the photo)

There were so much choose from and the food was fresh and tasty.

After our hearty meal, Ferald and I head out to explore.

The Health Club, The Outdoor Pool and The Hidden Garden

Open from 6 am to 11 pm, the health club has all modern equipments guests can use.

I really regret not bringing a swim wear. I was afraid that it's going to be too cold to dip in water but I was a fool. The pool was really inviting and had I brought with me my swimming suit, I would have braved diving into that turquoise water. This outdoor swimming pool is child friendly and is open from 7 am to 7 pm.

We continue with our little exploration inside BurJuman Arjaan's property until we found ourselves lost in a hidden garden. I felt like we are Romeo and Juliet in this well manicured garden.

Summing it up, Ferald and I enjoyed our stay here at BurJuman Arjaan by Rotana. It was a short but sweet escape, we had time to relax and unwind without going very far away. Perfect for couples or parents that needed some time alone together.
